Luke received his lungs March 18, 2008. He had 12 months of good health but sadly, we lost our friend on Aug. 22, 2009. He will be sorely missed.

Judy Moffat was transplanted in 2004 and was a steadfast member of the support group. Judy passed away on May 30, 2009.
Frank was transplanted in June of 2007. Sadly, he passed away in May of 2009.
Dick was our past webmaster and did a great job at it. He died peacefully at his sister's home on March 23, 2009 where he had been living for the past few months. According to his sister (Marion Woodruff), he died from complications related to his underlying disease (Alpha-1), not from anything related to his lungs.

The lung transplant community as well as the community at large has suffered a great loss with his passing. Eddy has been a great advocate for patients through his work as a volunteer at UWMC, his involvement with Transplant House and with the IPF foundation. Those who had the great fortune of knowing him, know too that he was tireless in his efforts to make the transplant process easier for everyone.
