Sheila Jones

Sheila, pictured here at the May 2009 support group meeting, was listed in December of 2007 and transplanted on October 31, 2008. Sheila lives in Fife, WA.

Claire "Stoney" Stoner

"Stoney" Stoner was transplanted June 10, 2008

Ofelia Castilleja

Ofelia Castilleja Was transplanted Sept. 9, after being on the wait list since May of 2005. Ofelia lives in Grand View, WA and at the Jan 2010 Support Group Meeting reported her recovery is going well.

Sandra Howard

Sandra Howard received a single (left) lung transplant on May 5, 2008. She was listed October 10th, 2007. Her diagnosis was severe emphysema. She lives in Port Angeles, WA. She tells everyone that she is "grateful to be breathing freely".

Sharon Chenault

Sharon Chenault of Tacoma, WA was listed Aug. 16, 2007 and received a double lung transplant on April 20, 2008. Sharon is a military spouse, is the proud parent of one son and grandparent of 3 (1 granddaughter & 2 grandsons). Sharon is a teacher and loves working with preschool age children.

Larkin Kinsella

Larkin, at the end of our April support meeting, got "The Call" for his new lungs! This picture Eddy Shaw took, is him getting wheeled out of our meeting room to surgery.

Luke Chadwick

Luke was finally transplanted on March 18, 2008 and at last report was doing well. Read his friend's perspective of the "dry run" HERE

Luke fell ill in May of 2009 and we lost a dear friend on August 22, 2009.
Ryan Reeves

Ryan was transplanted in February.

Doug Kettle & wife

Doug and his wife, of Hayden, ID told the following story:

I was on O2 for 8 years before transplantation. We have 8 children and are truly thankful for the gift of life. We also want to thank the U of W. I have had 15 operations so I have been in lots of hospitals. I have never seen such a dedicated group of professionals as are at the UW lung transplant team. We are so blessed!

Marshall & Bice Stark

Marshall, 62, a retired Navy submariner, received a single lung transplant on Jan 14, 2008. He got the left lung. Marshall had IPF.

Unfortunately the lung was rejected and Marshall passed away Jan. 22, 2010.
Raley & Jackie Peterson

Raley, 68, a retired attorney, with IPF was transplanted on Jan 14, 2008. He received the right lung making him a "blood brother" of sorts, with Marshall Stark who also had IPF.

Jim Bair, from Salem, OR was transplanted Sept. 16, 2008

Jim lost his battle with chronic rejection and passed away Oct. 19, 2010, Click to read his obituary.
